Primary Care Services
At AHA we employ a range of nurses including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Registered Nurses (RN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPN) & Occupational Health Nurses (OHN).
Community Nursing Services are provided in the communities of Black Lake, Fond du Lac & Uranium City; including the provision of emergency nursing services, primary care nursing, community health nursing & home care nursing services. These services are provided by Primary Care Nurses, Nurse Practitioners & Home Care Nurses. AHA nurses work diligently to provide a balance between health promotion & treatment of acute illness.
Our physicians are contracted through Northern Medical Services (NMS) and provide regular doctor days as well as on call services. Northern Medical Services (NMS) employs a unique team approach, working toward equitable, accessible health care in a geographically and culturally distinct setting. It is a department within the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.
