Quality of Care
The Athabasca Health Authority (AHA) is committed to providing you with the best possible care experience and you can help us do that. We understand that sometimes, despite our best efforts, situations arise that may cause concern.
What should you do if you have a concern?
-
If you have questions or concerns regarding the service you have received, please speak to your health care provider
If you still have the concern, speak with the person in charge
-
If you still have the concern, speak to the Quality of Care Coordinator (QCC)
The Quality of Care Coordinator will:
- Listen to your concerns;
- Explain AHA's policies & your rights and responsibilities;
- Talk to staff for you, if you wish;
- Help find the answer to your concern;
- Make recommendations for changes where necessary.
Client Concern Process
All messages or conversations with the QCC are
private and confidential unless you give your permission to speak or act on your behalf.
You will receive the best possible care AHA can provide. Bringing up a concern will not change this.
Questions or concerns about you or your loved one's care experience can be directed to our Quality of Care Coordinator (QCC):
