Camsell Portage is the most northern and most isolated community in the province. This beautiful settlement has a population of approximately 40 people and is accessible by air only. Physician services are provided one day a month. Nursing services are provided twice per month.
These services provide for the school program, there are 10 children in the school. Challenges are obtaining prescription medications as needed and emergency care when needed. Emergency Medivac clients may be moved to Fort Smith, as this site is closer than any provincial sites.
Children’s dental services are provided through MCHR and children are transported to Uranium City for these services.
Pharmacist visits are provided every six months.
